Alper KARAFİL provides advice to national and multinational clients concerning competition law, regulation, international trade and data protection law. He assists clients mainly on the investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority, merger control related matters and day-to-day issues on competition law. Mr. KARAFİL also plays an active role in compliance projects conducted within the scope of the Turkish and European data protection legislations. Before joining ACTECON in August 2019, Mr. KARAFİL worked in the data protection and compliance department of a reputable law firm.
He is fluent in English and German.

- Preliminary inquiry and investigation processes initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority ("TCA") regarding float glass, agriculture and passenger transportation industries.
- Competition compliance programs for a wide range of industries such as flour, online retailing and marketplaces, automotive and passenger transportation.
- Data Protection compliance programs and adaptation to the Turkish Data Protection Law and the case law of the Data Protection Authority.
